are two formal opportunities for parents to meet and talk with their child’s
class teacher each year. These take place in the autumn and spring terms. The
first session is an opportunity for parents to find out how their child has
settled into the new school year and class. It can assist parents in allaying
any concerns or anxieties that they have about the transition period. The
session which takes place in the spring term allows parents to gain a detailed
insight into the progress their child is making throughout the year and whether
they are on target to meet their expected levels by the end of the year.
addition to meeting a child's class teacher on these two dates, parents are
also able to speak with the specialist teachers that take children for French,
Music, Arabic and Islamic Studies, PE and Swimming.
consultation evenings, along with our twice yearly reports, are aimed at
providing parents with an on-going indication of the progress that children are
making and the ways in which both the school and parents can support their
